CEO John Morton answers some key questions about the company, our ethos and our plans for the future.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Over the course of a career in the financial services industry spanning four decades, John has managed private client and institutional funds in equity markets across the world. He successfully established a Wealth Management business for Brachers, a leading firm of Kent solicitors, and prior to that was a Director of Aberdeen Asset Management, with responsibility for managing the group's investments in continental Europe. In 2006, John co-founded European Wealth, which grew funds under management to £1.75bn by 2017, when he left to establish Broad Street Asset Management.
Antony has been in the financial industry since 1992, working as an equity analyst, investment manager, corporate financier and AIM Nominated Adviser. He has a clear understanding of corporate governance and of the issues facing quoted companies in today’s highly regulated environment. As well as working as a non-executive director, Antony is Chairman of the Parish Finance Committee.
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in investment management, focused on Asian, emerging market and global equities for major global institutions in Asia, America and Europe. He started his career in 1988 at a Canadian life insurance company, before moving to Hong Kong in 1993 with Carlson Investment Management. Andrew returned to London a few years later, where he managed market neutral hedge funds and institutional mandates for large corporations. He also worked as a manager and team supervisor at Henderson Rowe, before leaving in 2019 to join Broad Street Asset Management.
Paul has worked in global stock markets for over 30 years. He managed in excess of £175m of discretionary client funds in roles at WI Carr, NatWest, SG Hambros and Bespoke Boutique Savoy (absorbed by Towry and subsequently Tilney). Paul has been a board member of several AIM-listed companies, predominantly in the resources and agricultural sectors, and has a particular focus on African assets. A Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and holder of Key Individual status in South Africa, Paul is responsible for Broad Street's pan-African business alongside his Bermudian, continental European and domestic clientele.
HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Peter started in the Financial Services Industry in 1983 as an independent financial adviser. He owned and ran Pentre-Vere Limited until 2003 before setting up Bradley Stuart, which he subsequently sold to European Wealth, where he became a shareholding director in October 2012. Peter left in November 2017, joining Broad Street Asset Management to help develop the financial planning part of the Group.
HEAD OF GROUP BENEFITS
After graduating with an honours degree in Business, IT and Accounting, Emma started her career at Zurich Insurance Group, where she worked as a pensions administrator for Group Benefits. Emma then moved to European Wealth, spending five years as a Group Benefits administrator, dealing with Group Pensions, Life Insurance, Income Protection and Medical Insurance. In 2018, Emma left European Wealth to join Broad Street Asset Management, taking up the role of Head of Group Benefits.
